This time last year...

One year ago today we boarded an airplane bond for Poland.  This airplane would take us on the final steps of the adoption of our son. I can not believe a year has gone by so fast and on Christmas Eve it will have been one year since we were reunited.

As we run about gathering the final things needed for Christmas we have to step back and remember that so many, many years ago God sent His Son to start a journey to "adopted" us.

But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, "Abba, Father."
